0 out of 5 stars to The Keepsake (Rizzoli & Isles #7) by Tess Gerritsen – via @SocialReadsWP http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/749307005
Check out my review of The Keepsake (Rizzoli & Isles #7)
Another story of Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles. This time Maura is invited to participate in the research about a newly-found mummy in a museum. But what was supposed to be a corpse from thousands of years ago turns out to be something very modern … but dead nevertheless.
And there are more evil things to be found in the museum. Apparently there is a murderer who doesn’t want his victims to decay and disappear.
And to make things worse a young female scientist vanishes, too. Will she become the next victim of a murderer who charishes his keepsakes?
The private lifes of Jane and Maura are not quite so prominent in this thriller. And this is good, because it helps speeding up this enerving thrilling detective story.
But this seventh instalment of the R&I series has – once again – only female heroines. What a shame that Gerritsen keeps avoiding men as being important parts of her stories. There is more to life than female detectives and male murderers.
